I am so thrilled to announce my selection as a Vital Voices Lead Fellow, Class of 2015. The Vital Voices Lead Fellowship supports a global network of emerging and established women leaders who provide unusual and sustainable solutions to pressing problems that have impeded women and girls’ progress to participate fully in society and the economy.
Alldens Lane is honoured to be selected to the Class of 2015 and is grateful to Vital Voices and the UK’s Department for International Development for the opportunity to join this distinguished group of female leaders. We are immensely grateful to all of our clients and stakeholders – in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa – without who this could not have been made possible. Thank you!
As I reflect on the activities Alldens Lane has undertaken and completed in the past few years, I am as much thankful as I am dissatisfied. Thankful at how far we have come, and yet still uncomfortable and somewhat apprehensive about how much more we have to achieve to ensure that we are constantly responding to the needs of our clients and stakeholders for that is what will make us relevant and distinctive, and that is what a business must be. Indeed that is what the business world exposes you to the vagaries of the market place, whilst testing your ability to respond deliberatively as a business.
This week, we host a Master Class for women entrepreneurs entitled Mastering the Market Place. At the Master Class, I will be outlining my template for fine-tuning a business concept, and developing a responsive business strategy and roadmap that will meet the needs of your preferred clientele and your business as a whole. And did I do this for myself before I started Alldens Lane? Oh, yes. I did. Was a strategic partnership with an organization like Vital Voices part of that strategy? Oh, yes. It was.
As part of my strategy for mastering the market place I had detailed a 3 year road map, together with the support of my Advisory Board. Part of the plan, and it gives me goose bumps even to write this, was to identify in 2014 strategic partnerships and or collaborations with international organizations with objectives aligned with those of Alldens Lane and from which Alldens Lane could learn, grow, develop internally, and as a business. And then the 15th of January 2015 came when the news of the selection to the Vital Voices Lead Fellowship, Class of 2015 came.
I am so very grateful to God for making this possible. And I am so very grateful to all of those clients who believed in the vision and our capability to support them to successfully start, operate and grow their businesses. This outcome is for you we will ensure that you and your businesses also benefit from our learning and growth through our coaching sessions, and our Thought Leadership events.
At Alldens Lane we continue a relentless effort to offer our clients our best, and to execute and refine the other aspects of that Strategic Plan we rolled out in 2013. As we do so we remember that the market place is dynamic and that we must be responsive in our services and products to the dynamism. We seek to Master the Market Place.
Wont you join us?
